Forward Transmitters
|
Potent yet compact, Harmonic's forward transmitter lines provide formidable bandwidth and reliable service without requiring expenisve infrastructure upgrades. All of Harmonic's forward transmitters are engineered to be small and easily configured, with the versatility to meet ever-changing network needs. To assure consistently high performance and dependable operation, each transmitter is built with a microprocessor to monitor its vital functions, including laster temperature and operating point, optical power and module temperature. The PWRLink family of transmitter modules, designed for use with an advanced broadband network, can operate alone or as part of a complete system solution. Multiple setup and performance configurations allow for adaptability to specific system requirements, and advanced predistortion circuitry enables excellent performance with RF distortion suppression without receiver overdrive problems. The METROLink family, designed for forward path narrowcasting applications, utilizes Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) to carry digital narrowcast services over a single fiber. Capable of up to 1Ghz RF bandwidth, the MetroLink is an ideal solution to meet the growing demand for video content. The MAXLink family, designed for 1550 nm-based applications, offers a robust solution for supertrunking and distribution applications. Versatile enough for use in a variety of architectures yet powerful enough to handle long-haul transports beyond the ability of 1310 nm transmitters, the MaxLink line is a cost-effective solution for a multitude of network applications. The SUPRALink family, 1550 nm transmitters designed for advanced broadband networks, provides unparelled fiber reach. Each module can carry up to 1 GHz of analog and digital content, allowing deeper deployment of nodes and minimizing the expense of deploying more fiber. |
