Harmonic’s full range of DiviCom® standard definition (SD) encoders includes the market-leading Electra™ family of multi-service encoders as well as the Ion™ AVC and MPEG-2 multi-channel encoders.

The 1-RU Electra encoders provide operators with the highest performance solution for ultra-high quality video delivered at ultra-low bit-rates, with extensive pre-processing tools such as MCTF and LookAhead. The Electra supports multi-channel and multi-format delivery for up to four full resolution and four simultaneous low resolution video outputs in HD H.264 (Electra 7000), SD H.264 (Electra 5400) or SD MPEG-2 (Electra 5000 and 1000).

Able to deliver four simultaneous SD channels in high and low resolution formats, the IP-based Ion encoders offer operators a dense, cost-effective and high quality platform for video delivery.
